Parkinson's disease is a brain disorder cuasing chorea, jerking, shaking, stiffness, difficulty of walking, imbalance and in-coordination. The symptoms usually begin gradually and slowly gets worse with time. As the disease progress, difficulty of walking and talking increase. Associated symptoms may be sleep problems, depression, memory loss, easy fatigue and behavioral disorders. It is a male dominent disease.

Although disease onset can be as early as 50 but usually it occurs after 60. Actually the nerve cells or the neurons which produce dopamine become weak and not enough dopamine is produced which is absolutely necesary for normal functions. Still scientists are unable to figure out the causes of dopamine producing cells weakness or dying of these neurons.People with Parkinson's often develop a parkinsonian gait that includes a tendency to lean forward, small quick steps as if hurrying forward, and reduced swinging of the arms. They also may have trouble initiating or continuing movement.Symptoms often begin on one side of the body or even in one limb on one side of the body. As the disease progresses, it eventually affects both sides. However, the symptoms may still be more severe on one side than on the other.
